Nature of work: The main purpose of this position is to assist the Assistant District Engineer-Traffic with preparation and review of various traffic engineering studies, with recommendation(s) of engineering solutions to a wide range of complex and sensitive issues in an urban/rural setting. Manage program funds for operations, safety, and congested intersection improvements respectively. Evaluate all bicycle, pedestrian and transit activities for the district by serving as the bicycle/pedestrian coordinator. Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university. Seven (7) years experience in traffic engineering, including one (1) year of supervisory experience.
